Washing instructions- Please try out a cover before washing them to ensure proper fit. With a diaper cover, size is very important. Be sure that the cover is snug around the legs and waist. Check the diaper to ensure that all cotton is tucked inside the covers. This will keep the diaper from wicking the wetness to babies clothing and the diaper cover.
Wash the covers in cold water. The covers can be washed with other clothing on the shortest washing duration possible. It is best to close the Velcro© and turn the covers inside out to ensure the best cleaning possible.
Detergent to use- It is best to use a non-scented type of detergent that is not a “baby detergent”; these detergents have softeners in them that can over time weaken the Velcro© staying ability.
Drying the covers- The best method is to open the covers and lay them flat on the dryer while it is running. We recommend that our products not be exposed to drying temperatures in excess of 180°F (82.2C). If you do dry the covers in the dryer, do not add any softeners or scented dryer sheets.
Staining on the inside of diaper covers is normal and should not cause any alarm, especially when the baby is eating solid foods or if the baby is taking any medication. If you have stains that you would like to address, pre-soak with a chemical or enzyme product (please see note below) for stains prior to the wash process. Hanging the covers in the sun for a few hours may help to reduce the appearance of some stains.
Remember that any chemical that you add to the covers will affect the longevity of the diaper covers and the effectiveness of the waterproof layer of the covers.
GENERAL HAZARDS Groups of chemicals that may cause significant damage include but are not limited to the following: Benzine, phenols, ketone, oxyclean, other organic & inorganic solvents, dry cleaning solvents, strong acids & alkaline.
